Star + Elijah’s wedding weekend at Alderbrook Resort was nothing short of a dreamy, Pacific Northwest experience. Nestled in Union, Washington, Alderbrook Resort offered the perfect backdrop for a full weekend of celebration. With cozy lodges, waterside views, and lush greenery, guests were invited to unwind, explore the grounds, and enjoy everything Alderbrook has to offer—exactly what Star + Eli envisioned for this special gathering of family and friends.

Star + Eli’s story is like something out of a movie. Though they went to high school together, they only truly connected at a Christmas party nearly 20 years later! Fast forward, and they’re celebrating a proposal in Leavenworth on their third anniversary. This weekend, they finally said “I do” surrounded by loved ones, in a setting that felt organic and true to their love of nature. Inspired by natural, artful details, we curated a tablescape that felt like an extension of Alderbrook’s landscape, with wood and metal accents, sleek silverware, and rattan and wood candleholders. For a fun PNW touch, each place card was designed to look like an oyster shell, and each table was named after places that have special meaning to Star + Eli.

Setting the tone, their invitation suite was simple and inviting, reflecting the easygoing, family-friendly vibe of the weekend. On the big day, guests were welcomed to grab their own petals to toss at the ceremony’s close, adding a fun interactive touch right from the start. The ceremony was held at a scenic spot overlooking the water, with cozy wood chairs and fans and umbrellas for extra comfort. Florals by Parcells Flower Co. were thoughtfully arranged in whites, creams, and subtle blues, keeping everything soft and harmonious with the natural views. To add an intimate feel to the open setting, we designed a lush garden arch with white and cream florals grounded by a base of green smilax, bringing a sense of warmth and closeness to the breathtaking view. As Star made her way down the aisle, her kids by her side, it was a truly beautiful family moment that no one will forget.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour filled with laughter, delicious bites, and games to entertain the little ones. The reception was held under a clear-top tent strung with café lights that cast a warm glow over the celebration. Long tables were dressed in an embossed dusty blue linen and adorned with wood chairs, giving the space a cozy yet sophisticated feel. To keep things clean and effortless, we paired streamlined runners with soft floral arrangements, wood-based candlesticks, and gentle touches of candlelight. The whites, creams, and blues of the floral decor blended seamlessly with Alderbrook’s natural beauty, allowing guests to focus on both the aesthetic and the special company surrounding them.

One of the day’s standout features was the relaxed, family-focused atmosphere that made every moment feel personal and memorable. From the intimate design of the aisle and arbor to the whimsical floral touches throughout the reception, every detail came together beautifully to highlight Alderbrook’s charm. We wanted a classic yet fresh look that felt timeless, and Parcells Flower Co. did an amazing job bringing that vision to life.
